Descriptif du poste

Our Serenity team plays a key role in helping us achieve our ‘most trusted’ goal as they are building the global fraud detection and moderation component that will cater to our marketplaces globally. Serenity has had a very successful launch; it’s deployed in 6 countries and has provided a safer experience for over 12 million customers in the last 6 months alone. We have many interesting challenges on the horizon and need outstanding team players to join us as we scale. This position is located in Paris 10th within Leboncoin’s office; part of the Schibsted family.

As Paris’s Tech Lead, you will put at work technical and people skills to lead global projects to completion. Alongside our Frontend Tech Lead in Oslo, you are the second hand of the Engineering Manager and in the front seat of driving the product implementation and the technical roadmap forward with full control and ownership. You can help bridge the gap between tech and the business through an understanding of Schibsted’s goals to solve high impact & highly complex problems with the team. On top of your peers, your stakeholders will be Product Management, UX and Marketplaces in Europe and America.


  • Build a state-of-the-art scalable system, leading backend and devops engineers.
  • Work closely with the product manager to reach shared ambitions.
  • Ability to deal with conflicts in a mature, impartial and candid way.
  • Foster solid engineering principles and champion best practices within the organization.
  • Coach and mentor your peers.
  • Contribute new ideas and drive cross-team work streams in a community of high-caliber professionals.
  • Keep on top of the latest developments in distributed systems and the cloud.

Profil recherché

We are looking for

  • You have a deep understanding of systems design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • You are language agnostic - you’re willing to work with Python and Java, may be also C.
  • C proficiency is a plus.
  • You want to work with AWS, Google Cloud, or any proprietary cloud.
  • Experience with distributed computing technologies.
  • Working collaboratively with geographically distributed teams is a big plus.


  • Spinnaker, GHE, Travis CI, Artifactory
  • Java, Python, C/C++
  • AWS (DynamoDB, SNS/SQS), Mesos, Docker
  • Distributed Architectures & Microservices Architectures
  • Knowledgeable on web architectures (React, Angular, REST)
  • Knowledge on pydata stack is a plus
