Descriptif du poste

Our Serenity team plays a key role in helping us achieve our ‘most trusted’ goal as they are building the global fraud detection and moderation component that will cater to our marketplaces globally. Serenity has had a very successful launch; it’s deployed in 6 countries and has provided a safer experience for over 12 million customers in the last 6 months alone. We have many interesting challenges on the horizon and need outstanding team players to join us as we scale. This position is located in Paris 10th within Leboncoin’s office; part of the Schibsted family.

As a Backend Engineer you will be in charge of building a state-of-the-art scalable system. You will collaborate with the team to build a strong shared technological and domain expertise. You will be part of a team with full control and ownership, meaning you will directly impact our roadmap and ways of working. On top of your peers, your stakeholders will be Product Management, UX and Marketplaces in Europe and America.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain and operate the global product and its technical platform.
  • Ability to build and design technical solutions from scratch.
  • Keep on top of the latest developments in distributed systems and the cloud.
  • Help to improve our ways of working and communicate best practices.
  • Continuously monitor the health and quality of our systems.

Profil recherché

We are looking for

  • You have a deep understanding of systems design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • You are language agnostic - you’re willing to work with Python and/or Java.
  • C proficiency is a plus.
  • You want to work with AWS, Google Cloud, or any proprietary cloud.
  • Experience with distributed computing technologies.
  • Working collaboratively with geographically distributed teams is a big plus.

  • Spinnaker, GHE, Travis CI, Artifactory
  • Java, Python, C/C++
  • AWS (DynamoDB, SNS/SQS), Mesos, Docker
  • Distributed Architectures & Microservices Architectures
  • Knowledgeable on web architectures (React, Angular, REST)
  • Knowledge on pydata stack is a plus

Location: Paris (10)
